Loola is a personal AI assistant that helps users with reminders, planning, notes, follow-ups, conversations, and everyday tasks. This Privacy Policy describes how Loola collects, uses, stores, shares, and deletes information when you use our website, assistant, Telegram integration, WhatsApp integration, or related services.
By using Loola, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information needed to operate and improve Loola:
- Account and contact information: name, username, phone number, messaging platform identifiers, profile name, and contact details you choose to provide.
- Messages and user content: messages, commands, notes, attachments, files, reminders, preferences, and other content you send to Loola.
- WhatsApp data: WhatsApp sender ID, phone number, display name, message text, message IDs, timestamps, media metadata, delivery status, and webhook metadata needed to receive and respond to messages.
- Telegram data: Telegram user ID, chat ID, username, display name, message text, timestamps, and message metadata needed to provide the assistant experience.
- Technical data: IP address, device or browser information, request logs, diagnostic logs, error reports, security events, and usage analytics.
- Preference and memory data: facts, preferences, tasks, summaries, and conversation context that you ask Loola to remember or that are needed to personalize responses.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, personalize, and improve Loola.
- Receive, process, and respond to messages sent through WhatsApp, Telegram, or other supported channels.
- Remember your preferences, conversation context, and tasks when you ask Loola to do so.
- Send service-related responses, confirmations, reminders, and notifications.
- Maintain safety, prevent abuse, debug issues, and protect the service.
- Comply with applicable laws, platform requirements, and valid legal requests.
4. WhatsApp and Meta Platform Data
If you communicate with Loola through WhatsApp, your messages and related metadata may be processed through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. We use WhatsApp data only to provide the assistant experience, respond to your messages, maintain conversation history, prevent duplicate processing, and troubleshoot service issues.
We do not sell WhatsApp message data. We do not use WhatsApp message data for third-party advertising. We do not share WhatsApp message content with unrelated third parties except as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or protect users and the service.
Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp's and Meta's own terms and privacy policies.
5. AI Processing
Loola may send your messages and relevant context to AI model providers or infrastructure providers to generate assistant responses. These providers process data on our behalf so Loola can understand requests and produce useful replies. We limit shared information to what is reasonably needed to provide the service.
6. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate Loola, including hosting providers, database providers, messaging platforms, AI model providers, analytics providers, security providers, and support tools. These providers are only allowed to process information for service-related purposes.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide Loola, maintain user-requested memory and conversation history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements.
Webhook events and technical logs may be retained for a limited period for reliability, deduplication, security, and debugging. User-requested memories, notes, and conversations may be retained until you ask us to delete them or until they are no longer needed for the service.
8. Data Deletion Instructions
To request deletion of your Loola data, email privacy@loola.nard.ca with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and include the messaging channel you used, such as WhatsApp phone number or Telegram username. We will verify the request and delete or anonymize applicable personal information unless retention is required by law or legitimate security needs.
You may also request access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, or export of information where required by applicable law.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, secure storage, transport encryption where available, limited personnel access, and monitoring for abuse or errors. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Children's Privacy
Loola is not intended for children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
12. Your Choices
- You can stop using Loola at any time.
- You can delete conversations from your messaging platform, subject to that platform's functionality.
- You can request deletion of Loola-held data by contacting us.
- You can ask Loola not to remember specific information.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Loola after an update means you accept the updated policy.
